yep - use good window manager :)
when something like this happens to me during development I'm able to
move mouse with cursor keys within fvwm95 so I could run avifile
again and swich between fullscreen - maybe I could write some short
utility for this kind of problem (thought aviplay shouldn't crash -
if you have discovered any way to cause crash let me know as this is
definitely not an intended feature :))
