Hi, qtvidcap supported encoding using the windows libraries but avicap doesn't (I get a lot of messages that it "can't handle this format") .
So the only choice is using uncompressed formats, divx4.0 or "OS motion jpeg". When I try to use os motion jpeg the whole program aborts, uncompressed formats create to big files for my harddisk and divx4.0 is to slow for my computer. So I would like to know if intel indeo 5.0 with fast compression will ever supported again (seems to be the best encoder for recording -- about 50 MB/min and a quite good quality for further recompressing).
