Yes this would be useful - send me some URL if you can please
Just keep in mind that aviplay will try to keep you at least one keyframe
before the last one frame - so your movie might have just one keyframe for
final section of movie (e.g. someone compressed end movie titles with just
one keyframe - so you can have 5 minutes of sequence without a keyframe -
this is mostly useless but some people believe it will help to save several
KB...)

Might be some threading problem - I would be interested rather in
gdb backtrace when this situation happens - just  gdb avifile pid
thread 1
bt
thread 2
bt
...

(just don't use --enable-release for configure)
