Summary: dependencies in Mdk 8.1 configure
Initial Comment:
I had the following problems using the configure script
in the Oct. 18 snapshot under Mandrake 8.1:
1. QT was not found. Had to specify
--with-qt-libraries=/usr/lib
on the command line even though /usr/lib is in
/etc/ld.so.conf
2. asound library not found. Had to go to /usr/lib and
ln -s libasound.so.1.0.1 libasound.so . Mandrake
already has libasound.so.1 symlinked to libasound.so.1.0.1

I kept trying to specify --with-qt-libraries=/usr/lib/qt2
without success!
