Hello everyone
As I do not want that this info would get lost in the other threads -
I've spent unsmall amount on fixing avicap utility this weekend
and making from it really a usable tool.
So amongs fixes are:
- full support for encoding into yuy2 & yv12 using not just DivX4 but
also quite a log of win32 codecs (including the famouse HuffYUV -
yes you can use it now)
(just made me currious why the guys behind transcode have never
contacted me about this problem - it would have to be obviously
causing the some serious problem... - but as I said - no reports -
no bugfixes (well until I hit them myself of course)
- I guess it should not be leaving ugly unrefreshed part of screen
while you move the window (by invoking refresh when movment is finished)
- Not eating CPU cycles while opening config gui
I hope I've not been doing these fixes just for myself - so I'd like
to know how many people are actually using this tool - I may
potentianly spend more time one this - but if this would be
used by one person - well there are other parts which will have
higher priority
So let me know about problems and bugs you have found
(I think that especially refreshing is now very good -
if anyone know grabber with better behavious - send me URL)
- also the speed is quit good - about 70% cpu usage while grabbing into
Div3 (win32 divx_c32.dll aka Win32 DivX ;-) LowMotion codec) in YV12
(384x288 PAL 25fps) without a single frame drop.
Missing things - correcting bitrate setting for some codecs - especially
the latest Microsoft codec seems to be giving high quality images - but at
little bit to high rates - but still probably better then huffyuv)
Have I mentioned users are supposed to report bugs ?
