Ahoy,

I wrote a little tool (for windows yet) for writing
index-files(playlists, .asx files) from files in one directory.
( http://roeder.goe.net/~indexer/ - works pretty well with wine)
I tried to play them (after editing the path to unix style -
if there was a path stored...)with avifile/aviplay without
success since it assumes that file:// is http:// :P
I looked through the sources and finally found
asxparser.cpp+h, but those didn't help me in this concern.
the other files are too "bloated" and take too much time for
me to understand and maybe add a propper patch :-/
(I am a little too slow and too dumb for the sources of
avifile ...)
As it should be much simpler to support an fopen() (?) than
internet streaming stuff i thought a patch would be easy -
but it isn't, at least for me, who i am completely not
familiar with avifile sources/coding. I don't even know where
to look.

Could you please look into this? Keep up the good work!

Regards,
Koepi
