Hi,

I get the following message when trying to run aviplay or qtvidcap:

[root@big player]# ./aviplay
Available CPU flags: fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 sep mtrr pge mca
cmov pat pse36 mmx fxsr syscall mmxext 3dnowext 3dnow

Xlib: extension "RENDER" missing on display ":0.0".
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

This happens with avifile-0.53.5 and the latest avifile-0.6 CVS checkout.

I am running a RedHat 7.1 system with the following libs installed:

glibc-2.2.2-10
glibc-devel-2.2.2-10
XFree86-libs-4.0.3-5
XFree86-devel-4.0.3-5
qt-2.3.0-3
qt-devel-2.3.0-3
SDL-1.1.7-3
SDL-devel-1.1.7-3

The compiler I am using is gcc-2.95.3, compiled from gnu.org sources:

[root@big avifile-0.53.5]# gcc -v
Reading specs from
/usr/local/gcc/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/2.95.3/specs
gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (release)
[root@big avifile-0.53.5]#
