I have an es1371 sound card, kernel drivers. Sync is perfect with xine dvd playing, realplayer, and smpeg, but it has never ever worked correctly with avifile. I used to be able to play around with the slider somewhat, trying .2, .4, .6, or even .8 seconds, but it was always a crapshoot. With the new cvs version the slider has no effect at all on the sync. I don't know what the problem is, but avifile is becoming useless without good sync. Please make this a top priority!
