i'm using avifile from debian/sid, version 0.6.0.20011130. now many videos that used to work with previous version (not sure which snapshot it was) don't work, or show with no audio. also i noticed that the properties window says the video format is "unknown" for all videos i've tried, even for the ones that work. if you want to download some of the problematic videos, send me a mail.
