No the problem is that RedHat now has probably seriously damanaged package
either for libaudiofile or libesd - I'm not sure which one.
Linking esd simply fails because atexit symbol could not be found
(normaly it's basic part of libc).
I've no idea what could cause such problem, but there is something
seriously wrong.
All I could suggest to RedHat 7.2 users right now it to build
their own libSDL - I've have been trying to figure out some workaround - but
simply if libesd not links because of missing 'atexit' symbol
it's hard to figure out something (especialy when you are not RedHat user :))
On Debian there are several SDL packages - and one of them is
build only with OSS support - so if there is such alternative for
RedHat - users could install this library instead - and just to
mention it here - Debian has no problem whenever I use -oss or -all
sdl package)
Anyway - if anyone of RedHat developers could gives us any hints
about how to fix this problem - they are welcome...
