Just a minor note about current capability of avicap to use .xawtv settings
Avicap will check for existance of ~/.xawtv
If it's found - then some setting from this file are parsed and user could
select either from menu or by hotkey TV channels - but as it has
some ugly audio 'defects' during this channel switch (using tool
for xawtv - v4lctl) the real solution will probably requires to
copy frequencies for Xawtv and handle channel switch directly in
avicap.
