Don't call it "broken clocks" and "cheap soundcards" (my SBLive! does it as
well). There is no way you can sync audio crystal to rtc without external
connection. Besides, rtc isn't that precise either, it is normal to lose/win a
couple of seconds daily with normal x86 hardware. Hence RTC can be equally
blamed "broken" as soundcards.

What you can do (alsa does it I believe), is to adjust the ratio the driver
uses to synchronize rtc/soundcard. You still won't get it perfect though;
to a achieve "really correct speed" you'd have to synchronize both to a
precise external source.

I DON'T GIVE A DAMN SHIT whether there is a 1% difference between what rtc and
soundcard believe to be "the real speed of time". I want fluent video and
that's it. Current aviplay worx wonderfully on hi frequency monitor, but as I
watch 99% of the stuff on a TV, it isn't enough for me.
