I have discovered something strange with joining avi streams together ( and this does not really have much to do with your software package, ... i think ). I convert my RGB streams in to divx4.0 format and then join then together with "avicat" and or "avimerg" ( tanscocde version ) and some where along the way my audio loess sync with video ( not between segments but in the segments them self's ).
I have checked the divx out segments for errors and the audio and the video are in sync but when joined the them i lose sync ( this happens some times very early on and some times very late in the joined segments ). Have you ever seen this and what can be done if any thing to fix this ? Thank you for your time P.S.
