Hi. I recently decided to upgrade my avifile installation (which was working at the time). Unfortunately I don't recall the exact date of the previously working snapshot. I tried both of the december snapshots (which were missing the admin directory), a CVS checkout on 1/1/02 and a precompiled version as an RPM (avifile-0.6.0-fr2_20011207.i586.rpm).
My machine is an Athlon XP1700 running Mandrake 8.1 with a 2.4.16 kernel. The problem appears to be in the avi header parsing process.
