It's the library used by SDL library.
(Advanced Linux Sound Architecture)
Located in the package with the same name.
(on Debian you should have installed
libasound1 & libasound1-dev
If you have sdl-dev package installed without dependency on this library
you should probably report a bug to the maintainer of sdl libraries.
(And check if the newer version doesn't have this problem fixed)
