Most probably you are trying to build some old version of avifile 0.5
Please use latest CVS snapshost - or you may try CVS but it's not
currently stable thing - especially if you do not have YUV hw support
you shuoldn't probably use it.
Ohh I'd have almost forget - you might want to try mplayer.
