Install   asound-devel package - assuming you are RedHat/Mandrake
user - it looks that dependencies are still a major problem with 
this distribution -  SDL-devel should depend on this library, but
somehow doesn't - I'll add special check for this.
Also I guess extra check for Qt missing libraries shuold be added

you need  - libasound.so - and it shuold be link to libasound.so.1
and should be a part of some  -devel package.

as a temporal fix - you may add this link for your self.

cd /usr/lib
ln -s libasound.so.1 libasound.so
