These packages were more probably compiled with x686 instruction set
I affraid you will have to compile your own avifile from the source
(or you might ask rpm author to build one such version for you
CFLAGS="-O2 -fomit-frame-pointer" CXXFLAGS="-O2 -fomit-frame-pointer" configure
--enable-release might help
