It's slightly more complicated than this simple patch - there are
some on going modification which simply can't be done at one step
so as it's stated on the News page at this moment avifile's CVS
is a bit more unstable than usually - hopefully it should result
into faster compilation and less buggy player in the future...

Users may try to use  --enable-fast-build  to see the preview of this
building process - but it's not yet finished so the effect will
not be that dramatic - yet I belive Amd1.4 should be soon able
to build player with less then 1 minute.

Moreover there are some modification which are inverting logic for
upside/down image format (I hope there is no sofware which would
be modifing those values by the modification of the class member valuse -
there are methods for this and who is not using them will be probably
surpriced) - some codecs may provide incorrect images at this moment...

So as I said - users who want to have stable player should use
the latest released CVS snaphshot at this moment.
Those who like to use the bleading edge (as avifile is becoming constantly
faster mainly thanks to improvments in ffmpeg)
shouldn't be surpriced if something will go seriously wrong at this moment.
