Yes - correct - the string serves only as a hint for sorting

Well for now it's not - but as there are only two choice at this
moment it's rather easier to expect them present 
- for audio   OSS,SDL,noaudio
- for video actually they are not used at all - as you could
either enable or disable YUV support - which mean SDLOverlay or SDLX11
I don't really have time to write XXX devices like in mplayer -
anyway majority of users are using XV...
