I've got the latest CVS version of avifile installed as well as the
latest snapshot of the XviD codec. If I do 'avirec -l', one of the
options listed for XviD is the mode which has can be set to various 2
pass encoding schemes.

I'm able to set the mode, but it really doesn't look like I'm getting
two pass encoding in that it doesn't take any longer or use any more CPU
cycles than one pass encoding. The same is true of avicap; if I set the
file type to be XviD and change the mode, it seems to be one pass
encoding.

So, is two pass encoding possible? If so how can I tell that it is
doing two passes instead of just one?

-Dave

P.S. Thanks to everybody for all the effort they put into the project.
It really is very cool.
