This time the bug is not on my side - your libsdl package seems
to be requiring -laa  - however libsdl-dev package most probably
doesn't provide dependencies for libaa-dev - so you should
install libaa-dev  and sent bugreport  to sdl maintainer for your
system (and eventually switch to Debian so you will not see such
problems in the future :))

see what  sdl-config --libs  tells you and check if you
have all the necessary libraries installed.
