Hi,

We've got many bugreports with vbr-mp3 .avi files created by recent nandub
version. In these files there is a 200-600 kB amount of pure zeroes splitted
to 2-3 k chunks at teh beginning of the audio track. They used it to delay
audio, probably, but as it's pure zero, the native mp3 decoders fails or
skip it. They play with mplayer and xine, with big a-v desync (mplayer's
old interleaving-based a-v sync code works well with them, though) but
aviplay says audio EOF and no sound at all.
I was told that WMP 6.4 and 7.1 plays them fine, while the playa doesn't.
Looks like another exploit of some bugs of win32 avi demuxer, this time
maybe in win32 mp3 decoder (l3codeca.acm?) too...

I don't really have any idea about how to fix it.
