Yes, I get: <audio renderer> : OSS audio renderer: frags: 8 size:4096 buffer: 32768 When I start ARTS I get: <Exception> : OssAudioRenderer: FATAL: Can't open audio device <aviplay> : Will try audio renderers in this order: SDL,noaudio but aviplay produces the noise in both cases.
