[Avifile]Fast Playback

Hey guys! I'm running avifile 0.7.18 on redhat 8.0 on a Dell Inspiron 4100. The video and audio play back really fast. I'm not extremely well versed in Linux, so I'm not sure if I'm giving you all the info you need. I've read where you should set your audio to play at 48Khz, so i did that and there was no change. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.
