I read somewhere on the page that ASF support was there but not really
supported, but I thought I would post this anyway. I installed avifile
and tried to open a stream with aviplay. At first I got an error because
I was missing the dll I needed, but I found the dll. Now I get this:

If you wish to store the stream into a local file
you may try to use this before starting aviplay:
                export WRITE_ASF=1
this will create /tmp/asfXXXXX with received data

Now this could be a total boink, but is is also possible that my problem
lies with the redirector in this ASF file. I know that when connecting to
this stream normally it plays a shot commercial and then goes to a
seperate stream. Is it possible that by referencing the proper stream
somehow I could get what I really want without the error. I appreciate
any help. I am not subscribed to the list so be sure to CC

again.
