Hi,
I hope I am now working with the correct CVS ;-)
I wasn't aware of the intimacies of CVS :-)
I fixed a bug in kv4lsetup
kv4lsetup -t did not work at all
kv4lsetup -t=1 worked
kv4lsetup -t=2 did not work
I changed the -t option to be an int (instead of a bool),
{ avm::Args::Option::INT, "t", "verbose", "be verbose", &verbose },
because in the code you say if(verbose==2) etc
now kv4lsetup -t=1 and kv4lsetup -t=2 work fine
I've also added a more 'user-friendly' error message, when kv4lsetup cannot
set the framebuffer address
I also applied various 'improvements' to avicap.
You have now a dirpool, a list of dirs to write into.
We have now an 'record every day/sunday' feature, and the timertable items are
nicely colored.
I hope you like what happens if the press the new 'mini'-button in the Capture
info window - that's useful, if you want to monitor your recording while you
are working (compiling). so you need a small info that wastes no space ..
I've put the docu online at
/home/groups/a/av/avifile/htdocs/avicap
Read about the new possibilities of Avicap here:
http://avifile.sourceforge.net/avicap/avicap.html
It's linked from here:
http://avifile.sourceforge.net/docs.htm
BTW - I'd just like to *thank*you* a thousand times for the work you and
others have done with avifile/avicap.
Avicap is (was) an extremely good capturing tool, and now it grows more and
more into a full featured PVR (personal video recorder) application.
Thanks to you, for writing such a good app, so that I can write my PVR-stuff
around it :-)))
See here

how I use Avicap now, it's the perfect tools for a TV junkie like me :-)
My next task will be to try to get avicap use a different codec for each
timertable entry.
And then, I think about adding an EPG (electronic program guide) to Avicap, so
that I just have to enter my favorite subjects/wildcard/patterns into Avicap,
and it automatically searches the EPG database and set the recordings I would
like ;-)
