It's a general problem - how can we - or sourceforge - pay the big pipes and
bandwidth and disk space and cpu power etc to host so many projects.
Sourceforge doesn't have enough money to afford a problem free access at all
times, and I think no-one else has
The other sourcforges (like savannah or berlios) will have the same problem,
if they host so many projects like sourceforge
I'd personally vote for a completely distributed, redundant and fail-safe
developing/hosting environment...
Sourceforge is the biggest single point of failure that free software cannot
afford - if anyone closes down sourceforge or censors it, we will be buggered
