sometimes when i start aviplay i get this error

i must kill the program. the windows are created but not "drawed" (blank 
inside)
i use version 0.7.38.20030710, now i'm compiling cvs version.

i cannot reproduce  the error, it occurs only sometimes.could it be a sync 
problem between threads? it SEEMS more frequent when system is heavily 
stressed, expecially when there is big load on disks.
