On a side note clicking the cartoon option(?) causes avogadro to crash. I am running a PPC Mac OS X version 10.5.8 and Avogadro 0.9.7. Surface engines should be created and enabled/disabled through surface extension. I'm not sure how ui should look. You must first create a surface using the "Create Surface" command under the extensions menu. Before, we had too many "random" crashes because the rendering and surface creation would occur at the same time.
