I just built one of Limor Fried's USBtinyISP programmers. ( shown on
http://www.adfruit.com/usbtinyisp ). I'd like to actually test the
programmer on a Fedora 7 computer.

I have an Atmega644 in the DIP package that I could breadboard with a
quick LED blinking circuit. Since I'm doing this in Linux, I'm not sure
what is a good value to assign to F_CPU, and yes, I did check the 376
page data sheet, but I am still not sure how to calculate this value --
sorry.

Or, is there a standardized test program I could download from the
Internet, compile with avr-gcc, and then download to the 644 that will
make something turn on or off or whatever? I'm definitely in learning
mode here.

For now I just want to test my shiny new programmer. Preferably test
both the 10 pin and 6 pin cables.

Thanks a lot!

Bob Cochran
