I've been using the same makefile, give or take, since 2003. I think I just upgraded from a 2006xxx winavr version.
I have confirmed the error disappears (along with a bunch of warnings involving PSTR's), when using an MFile-generated makefile. Did the libs get rearranged, or something? Maybe it is a gcc vs. g++ issue... Curious.
