to port code from one AVR to another.
I didn't say it would be easy. But when timer 1 is located in the
same place across all the product that has a timer 1 of similar
characteristics, then that part of the code doesn't have to be relinked.
Or you could use a Microchip PIC where seemingly every model has a
different memory map, word size, and instruction set.
