As Eric said, we are working towards upstreaming all the patches and the
header files. It should happen soon as it is under verification now.

Well, don't you think that adding support for a new AVR device would
consist a simple change that doesn't require the full paperwork?

I think it's always a good idea for a potential contributor to file
the paperwork, but for a change like this one, I don't see a reason to
hold it back until the copyright assignment has been fully handled by
FSF (which could take its time, as you know ...).
