Follow-up Comment #1:
Fixed in CVS HEAD. The fix is to pop and restore EIND before
calling __prologue_saves__ in the 3-byte PC case. Unfortunately,
this causes a couple of header file changes in order to expose
the actual value of EIND while compiling avr-libc.
Entirely closing the tracker item is pending a merge into the 1.4
branch.
