However, that checks a *minimum* version, presumably in the
assumption that more recent versions are always backwards
compatible. Alas, the autoconf developers have proven that
assumption to be false in the past, so anyone dealing with
the auto* tools is prepared to have a very specific version
around for any particular software package.
Thanks for the confirmation that it works with 2.61, then
it can be added to our tree.
