Using the latest snapshot of the binutils patches from the WinAVR CVS
repository I wanted to rebuild the avr-binutils on WinXP.
The following patches could not be applied against the prestine sources
of binutils-2.18:
31-binutils-2.18-avr-coff.patch
52-binutils-2.18-xmega.patch
57-binutils-2.18-atmega1284p.patch
59-binutils-2.18-avr35.patch
I did not (yet) look into the details of why the patches failed.
