I think I will back off now, and wait for feedback.
The time functions compile with " -Wall -Wextra -Werror -pedantic ",
under 4.3.2 and 4.7.2
I saw a bugzilla report that 4.8 apparently does not like my usage of
_MEMX in strftime(). Since I have not yet built the 4.8 toolchain, I
have no insight, but it appears to be an issue with 4.8 itself.
However, I am keeping watch on the issue.
