Those of you who are subscribed to the SVN commit list did
already notice it: I released version 1.8.1 today, finally.
While I haven't been contributing much myself lately, many others
started to contribute, so I decided it'll only be fair to eventually
release what all have done. I didn't have the time for the usual
sweep over the bug database (but I at least had a glance), but it's
been more than 2.5 years since the previous one, so a new release is
long overdue, I think.
