For the purposes of assembling amforth it was earlier recommended that I 
install AvrStudio4 under Wine - Wine did not cooperate. I foresee a 
problem under real XP in that amforth looks for Linux terminal devices 
and such.

So I started to get acquainted with avra: I mentioned compilation 
problems due to unfindable NEWS and Changelog. For the "touch" fix I of 
course need to know where to put them, and how to edit the files that 
ask for them. This is not a big task, to be sure, but it has been going 
slowly for me. People have said that there's a better way, so I guess 
I'm waiting for the next version.
