Hello everybody,
Recently I wrote a GUI frontend for avrdude/avarice to help out my
students who sometimes have trouble using avrdude.
The tool is called gccStudio since it tries to emaulate AvrStudio's
options.
It is written in Tcl/Tk 8.4 and runs on FreeBSD (tested) and a number of
other *nix platforms (untested so far)
Please take a look at it. It can be found at

Hmm. I'll take a look.
However, I wish you would have mentioned that you were interested in a
GUI fronted for avrdude, that way I could have pointed you to one that
was already in existence:
<http://sourceforge.net/projects/avrdude-gui>
and you've could have combined forces and improve that one.... it could
use some help. And yes, it is designed to be cross-platform.
