Details:
Neither under winditz nor linux, avrstudio works with it, but only when you
flash v2 into the stk500. flashing v1.2 makes it work with nothing.
Avrdude worksflawlessly with my old stk200/300 clone.
Spent 2 days fighting this, hope this helps.
