Details:

This patch adds support for USBasp, a simple to build USB programmer. The
programmer simply consists of an ATMega8 and a couple of passive components.
Because it uses a firmware-only USB driver, no special USB controller is
needed. For more details, circuit and firmware, please visit

The patch is built against CVS sources of today. I have tested it with Linux,
Windows and MacOS X (with patch #4685). I got positive feedback from other
users who built the programmer and used it with a patched version of
avrdude.
