Follow-up Comment #1, bug #19769 (project avrdude):
AFAIK there is *NO* ATMega164 part, only the ATMega164P. A search of
Atmel.com for atmega164 returns only hits for atmega164p.
It would be more accurate to only accept the atmega164p as a valid part...
