Last year there was discussion on the list
(http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/avrdude-dev/2006-11/msg00060.html) about
the 163, but as far as I can tell, the fixes never made it into the released
version, because 5.5 isn't working on the mega163 at all.
I have attached a configuration file section which I redeveloped for the 163,
based on copying from the 16 and 162, and referring to the Atmel XML file,
which has worked for me. No promises of correctness are made.
