Follow-up Comment #28, bug #30559 (project avrdude): I thought Microsoft had added a "posix compatibility layer" to windows over a decade ago. Apparently that compatiblity is not complete. :-(
The threads are only required to allow the ftdi to push data to the computer, even when the main avrdude process is mostly writing. This driver is fast because things are pipelined reading the feedback bit after every bit written is very timeconsuming. http://sources.redhat.com/pthreads-win32/ is the first hit for my google search for pthreads on win32. I'm not an "autoconf" hero. If someone who DOES know what he's doing with autoconf is willing to help, please do! _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?30559> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.nongnu.org/ _______________________________________________ avrdude-dev mailing list avrdude-dev@nongnu.org https://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/avrdude-dev
