Sorry I don't have a full answer for you but this could at least get you
started I hope,

You can get the coordinates with your mouse like this , and maybe write them
down or save them, or let the user get them, if you want them to place the
markers?

scene.addOnMouseMove(overScene);

private function overScene(e:MouseEvent3D):void {
            myobject.x = e.sceneX;
            myobject.z = e.sceneZ;
}
