I notes that focus and zoom influenced on number of polygons that
renders. If you set for example zoom = 10 and focus = 100 it will be
likely the same picture if you use zoom = 100 and focus = 10. But in
this variants number of rendered polygons will be not the same. I
don't know if it is a bug or feature but it is at least in 2.1
version. And performance directly depends on number of rendered
polygons. Hope it would be helpful information.
