It took me forever to make, and I did that a few months ago, and I gave it up (too much to finish). I want to finish it and make it a game one day, or year :P
I do however have an example of the car+physics alone that might get you started in the right direction, that I can share. If you are interested I can dig it up and post it somewhere.
