This is a Flex project. I have noticed with all my Flex projects using Away3D (even when I don't throttle the frames) the max I can get on any system is 24fps. I don't know why. In Flash projects I can get 35+ on my Quad Core but a Flex project on the same system only gets 24fps. There must be some additional overhead with Flex.
